The call and love for Africa resulted in Clive and I returning home after many years of living abroad and settling in Robertson in the largely untouched Platteland Valley.
Since arriving back in 2012, we became olive farmers and award-winning olive oil producers and spent many years hosting tastings to educate people on the true methods and taste involved in the production of this liquid gold.
With both of us coming from a Food and Drinks industry in London, we were immediately inspired by the farming diversity of this region, which is a true Bread Basket of SA – as well as an innate respect for the farming industry and the complexities that it faces.
Our journey has now taken us on a new venture in Bonnievale in collaboration with The Klue’s, 4th Generation Farmers and award-winning wine producers.
This collaboration means that there is now an additional experience to enjoy: a wine tasting and working cellar tour with the winemaker and owner of the farm.
Farm Tapas to Table is the concept and you experience a Long Table Talk and Tasting through a unique range of olive oils and olive-related products, which are paired alongside freshly sourced local produce.
Our unique and quirky personalities as well as our innate love for both Food and Drink has resulted in us consistently being rated the Best Thing To Do in Robertson on TripAdvisor since starting these Tastings back in 2012.
